Meeting Dates2012 Board of Licensure in Medicine Meeting Dates
* Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month convening at 9:00 a.m. Sub-committees (except for PA Advisory Committee) meet prior to the start of the meeting at scheduled times. ** Meeting times and dates are subject to change or cancellation. *** For BOLIM meeting information or unexpected meeting cancellations, contact Jean M. Agendas and other important information about the Board are listed on the Board’s web site approximately 5-6 days prior to the meeting. Public Session vs. Executive Session Items on the Board’s agenda fall into two categories in terms of public access to meetings: 1) matters which can be discussed in open or “Public Session”; and, 2) matters which under statute are confidential and are discussed in closed or “Executive Session”. The Board’s usual practice is to discuss confidential matters in the morning and into the early afternoon but a lot depends on the caseload. The length of “Executive Session” varies from meeting to meeting. If you are interested in attending the public portion of a meeting it is wise to call ahead to get an estimated time of when “Public Session” will begin.

Committee members are normally appointed by the Board for terms of up to 4 years. The Committee reviews matters pertaining to the medical practice of Physician Assistants, including complaints, and makes recommendations to the Board.
